The Lazy 15! Inspired by Another Blogger's mani/ Polish Days December

Hey everyone!

Today is the last day of The Lazy 15! It was a very enjoyable and precious experience. I'd like to thank the person who started it all, Lindsey from Nails 4 Dummies, and Cuti-CLUE-les, from whom I learnt about the challenge, for it. I've learned so much creating manicures for this flashmob! Although I'm happy to be able to wear plain polish here and there again, I think I've got used to having some craziness on my nails :D Stamping, gradients etc. - most of nail art techniques are quite fast and easy, but they give a sparkle of uniqeness to the overall look. And i still have tons of other ones to try out: I'd like to experiment with combinations of different textures, tape manicures, studded nails...just check out my Pinterest boards to know what's on my mind.

Since I'm quite a lazy ass, I combined the last theme of The Lay 15! and the theme of this month's Polish days (god, how much I've grown to like them, and I'm always looking forward to receiving my notification with the next theme!) again. For the last day of The Lazy 15! we are creating manicures inspired by another blogger's manicure, and the theme of Polish Days December is Bling! The manicure  I used as inspiration is the famous Glequins manicure by The Nailasaurus.
The Nailasaurus.

My base color is Color Club Gossip Column. It's a dark blue (but not dark enough to be black-ish) cream with a slight teal note. I had no issues with the application, and the polish was completely opaque in 2 coats. Then, using a coat of clear nail polish, I stuck glequins to my nails (see the Nailasaurus journal for a video tutorial, it's gorgeous and super understandable!). Since we've agreed that I'm a lazy ass, I did the honeycomb pattern just on my left ring nail and settled with simple lines of glequins on the rest of nails. I finished everything off with 2 coats of INM OTD to smooth everything out.

This color scheme of this manicure makes me think of Byzantia (don't really know, why, maybe because I've been reading amd watching too many historical novels/movies/tv shows, but my current setting fix is Ancient Rome...bizzare :D), and the ring finger - of chain armour rather than honeycomb, so I call this nail art 'Byzantian Chain Armour' :)
