Here's my manicure for yesterday's Fridails. Our task this week was to create an inspired by fashion nail art, learn how I did these and see my souce of inspiration as well as more photos under the cut!

Here's my yesterday's mani dedicated to the team I've been a dedicated supporter of since 2006, the year I first showed interest in football, from the city I would gladly agree to live in. The team has had its ups and downs, it has faced worship and hate of thousands of football fans all around the world. Last two years were deafening: they were this close to winning Champions League, yet victory kept slipping through their fingers. Finally, Bayern Munchen holds it. And althought they certainly could have played better yesterday, they deserve it like no one else. 

Хочу показать свой вчерашний маникюр, посвященный команде, за которую я болею с 2006 года (год, когда начала интересоваться футболом), из города, в котором я с радостью бы жила. У команды были взлеты и падения, она сталкивалась с обожанием и ненавистью футбольных фанатов всего мира (со вчерашних слов комментатора, против нее болели фанаты всех команд Бундеслиги)) так это или нет, но я видела несколько опросов Вконтакте на тему "за кого вы сегодня", и Боруссия имела преимущество где-то в 2 раза). 2 последних года были оглушающими - 2 раза команда подходила вплотную к победе в Лиге Чемпионов, но она ускользала сквозь пальцы. Наконец, она в руках Баварии. И хотя вчера, я знаю, они могли играть лучше, больше них ее не заслужил никто. 

The red is Nails Inc. St James (2 coats), the white is Sally Hansen White On (2 coats), the blue is Brooklin 29, stamped with Bundle Monster BM-319 stamping plate. The stripes are golden striping tape from Born Pretty Store, and the number 31 (Schweinsteiger's number) was freehanded with a gold gel pen. I sealed the mani with a coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast, which made everything nice and smooth, however, when I started applying it on my ring finger, right after doing so with my pinkie, remnants of red lacquer, which apparently were left on the brush, ended up on my nails, so I used Seche Vite on my ring fingers instead, but I couldn't do anything about the little spot of red. It's not that visible, so I let it be, please excuse its presence on the photos.

Красный - Nails Inc. St James, белый - Sally Hansen White On, оба в 2 слоя, синий - бюджетный Brooklin 29, для стемпинга использован диск Bumdle Monster BM-319. Золотые полосы сделаны с помощью золотой ленты для нейл-арта, ну а 31, номер Швайнштайгера, я нарисовала от руки золотой гелевой ручкой :) Весь маникюр я закрепила слоем топа Cult Nails Wicked Fast, который сгладил неизбежно появившиеся неровности, но ногда я начала наносить его на безымянный палец, остатки красного лака попали с кисточки на ноготь, так что я тут же отложила его, использовав на остальные красные ногти, а для безымянных использовала Seche Vite, хотя пятнышко он, конечно, не убрал. Но в глаза это не сильно бросается, так что я решила, что пусть живет. За присутствие его на фотографиях извиняюсь :)

Sadly, I'll have to part with it today, since my boyfriend stood with the supporters of Borussia Dortmund, and he's upset enough that Bayern's won, and while that won't stop me from mocking him tomorrow (he would do the same thing, had Borussia won, anyway :P), I'm going to spare his nerves here :D Still wearing red, white and gold tomorrow, though!

К сожалению, с маникюром своим я сегодня расстаюсь, потому что молодой человек у меня вчера вдруг решил болеть за Боруссию, так что ему, в принципе, победы Баварии хватило. И хотя от подколов его это завтра не спасет (а что, он бы то же самое делал, если бы Боруссия вчера выиграла >)), здесь я его нервы пощажу. А приду в красно-бело-золотом :D

Monday Blues: Cult Nails Princess & Hare Polish Married To The Monarchy

This week's blue mani is a wonderful, slightly dusty baby blue creme shade with rosy-gold subtle shimmer running through by Cult Nails, namely Princess. The most appropriate name ever, it immediately makes me think of Cinderella (probably because of her Disney blue ball gown, or maybe it's because this Princess is just as beautiful while modest and a bit shy). Two easiest coats for full opacity here. And since now I have a heckload of pretty indie glitter toppers, accent nails manicures are all I'm wearing these days, and this one is no exception, so on my middle and ring finger you can see Princess topped with a coat of Hare Polish Married To The Monarchy, which is a mix of square (squeee!!) and hex red and aqua blue glitter in a variety of sizes, with iridescent silver shimmer/flecks in a clear base.  Синий маникюр этой недели состоит из двух красавчиков. Один из них - чуть пыльный пастельно-голубой крем с розовато-золотистым ненавязчивым шиммером от Cult Nails, зовется он Princess, и название ему подходит на 100%. У меня сразу ассоциация с Золушкой, возможно, из-за голубого бального платья ее диснеевской версии, а может, потому что лак такой же красивый при своей скромности и даже немного застенчивости. Красится, можно сказать, сам, сохнет быстро, для полной непрозрачности надо 2 тонких слоя, думаю, можно и в один управиться при желании, при этом лак не замазка совершенно. Ну а поскольку у меня теперь есть туева хуча инди-глиттеров, двухцветные и акцентные маникюры я не снимаю вообще. Здесь на среднем и безымянном пальцах - слой Hare Polish Married To The Monarchy, в котором мы найдем полупрозрачный серебристый шиммер (или это мелкая слюда?) и красный и цвета морской волны глиттер разного размера и двух видов: шестиугольный и квадратный (уиии ^_^). Детали, как всегда, рассматриваем на макро :)

A fashion inspired manicure

I'd like to start by doing a small roundup of all giveaways I know of and am participating in. Now onto the actual post. I've entered Wacky Laki's contest, the task was to create a fashion-inspired manicure. I scanned spring 2013 trends and picked the seafoam green one (like if you had doubts :D). Namely, I drew inspiration from the skirt the second model from the right is wearing on the picture below.

Теперь к самому посту. Я участвую в конкурсе Wacky Laki, заданием которого было создать маникюр, вдохновленный модой. Я изучила тренды будущей весны и остановилась на (кто бы сомневался :)) цветовом: зеленая мята снова в моде, ура! В частности, я вдохновилась юбкой второй модели справа. 

As you may have guessed, my undie for the nail art is Cult Nails Manipulative, previously reviewed here. I used quite a lot of striping tape and Chanel Particuliere for the brown stripes. I let it all dry and finished off with a coat of INM OTD (had to be really careful with that, because it's prone to smudging your pretty nail art due to its being thin). You can see the result below. I'm quite fond of the color combination and the overall look, although I fear the look is not comlex enough to win (yes, I am ambitious and I don't think there's anything wrong with that :) Ambitions make us grow, to my mind), and I'm more than sure that many mani gurus are taking part, but when I come to think of all the wonderful manis we're about to see, every else thought seems to vanish :)

Как вы наверняка догадались, базовым цветом выступил Cult Nails Manipulative, который я показывала и о котором рассказывала здесь. Я использовала приличное количество striping tape (мамочки, как это перевести-то? Клейкая лента для маникюра? %)) и Chanel Particuliere. Когда все высохло, я покрыла маникюр слоем INM OTD, и здесь надо быть очень осторожной, поскольку, из-за своей жидкости и тонкости, этот топ так и норовит смазать нейл-арт, особенно если он красивый :D Маникюр мне нравится как в целом, так и своим цветовым сочетанием в особенности, хотя я боюсь, что он недостаточно сложен, чтобы победить (да, я достаточно амбициозна, не считаю, что это плохо :) Считаю, что амбиции - тот фактор, который заставляет нас расти и совершенствоваться). Я больше чем уверена, что в этом конкурсе примут участие многие гуру маникюра, и на победу надеюсь лишь мечтой оптимиста, но как подумаю о том, сколько мы увидим красивейших маникюров..ух, аж дух захватывает, и чуть рифмой не заговорила :)

Cult Nails Manipulative swatches & review

So this is my first post after the lazy 15 nail art challenge. As much as I loved it, I really looked forward to wearing plain nail polish sometimes. I've got loads of pretty untrieds I'd like to pay attention to. The polish I'd like to tell you about today is no exception. 

Это мой первый пост после нейл-арт флэшмоба, в котором я участвовала. Хотя мне очень понравилось, иногда мне очень хотелось одеть и носить просто лак без каких-то премудростей. У меня накопилось очень много неопробованных красивостей, и герой сегодняшнего поста - не исключение. 

Cult Nails Matipulative is pretty reknown. It's a wonderful robin's egg blue infused with light blue tiny flecks, which, sadly, don't transfer to nails at all. On them, the polish looks like a cream, however, the flecks add some depth to the color, which prevents it from looking like putty :) It is decently pigmented and could pass as a one-coater, however, I did 2 for swatching purposes. Manipulative dries rather quickly and very glossy, I didn't use topcoat on the swatches, and see how it reflects the surroundings!  I'd love the mention the brush. One word: awesome. Not too thick, not too thin, easy to control, allows you to paint just by the cuticle. I barely needed to do any cleanup, and I blame my crooked hands rathr than the brush :)

Cult Nails Manipulative - достаточно известный представитель своей марки, замечательная, чуть пыльная голубая бирюза, приправленная мелкими голубыми хлопьями, которых, к сожалению, совершенно не видно на ногтях. Но мне кажется, они придают цвету глубину и спасают лак от замазочности. Достаточно пигментированный и плотный, чтобы сойти за однослойник, но для свотчей я нанесла его в 2 слоя. Сохнет Manipulative достаточно быстро и с шикарным глянцем, для свотчей я не использовала топ. Отдельно хочется отметить кисть: она великолепна. Не слишком толстая или узкая, ею легко маневрировать, позволяет прокрасить очень близко к кутикуле. Мне почти не пришлось ничего подчищать, и то я виню свою криворукость :)

The Internet has it that Manipulative is a close dupe to China Glaze For Audrey. I have both of them, so I'm going to compare the two on a swatching wheel tomorrow and update the post with comparison pics. But formula-wise, I prefer Manipulative over For Audrey. And there's never too many pretty turquoise nail polish, is there? :) 

В одном из блогов я встретила, что Manipulative - близкий клон China Glaze For Audrey. Поскольку у меня есть оба, я сравню их завтра на ромашке и добавлю фотографии в этот пост. Если судить по техническим характеристикам, то Manipulative мне нравится больше For Audrey. Ну и, в конце концов, красивых бирюзовых лаков много не бывает)
