Dance Legend Gel Effect 892, 1045, 1047 swatches and review

Gel effect nail polish is all over the nail industry at the moment, and, as usual, Dance Legend jumped on the bandwagon with not one, but two collections of creme nail polish with natural extremely glossy finish. I'll show you 3 shades I selected (actually I wanted another one instead of 892, but for some reason I got that one so I went with it). Dance Legend Just Another Star is another polish from the Wow Prism collection. A lavender scattered holo with easy 2-coater formula and a prominent holo effect when under direct light, which turns into silver flakie shimmer under indirect light. Fast-drying, easy to remove and beautiful - there isn't much else to say about it - a reliable indicator that the polish in question is a good one :D 

Dance Legend Just Another Star - еще один представитель коллекции Wow Prism. Лавандовый рассеянный голографик, для плотного покрытия нужно 2 слоя. Под прямым светом голография очень хорошо выражена, под непрямым же он превращается в серебряные хлопья шиммера. Сохнет быстро, снимается без проблем, красотун - особо тут больше сказать нечего. Как правило, надежный показатель, что лак хороший :D

Dance Legend Be mine & Morning Dew swatches & review

Another new addition to Dance Legend polishes is Mist Way collection, consisting of jellies with subtle golden flakes running through. This post features two of them, and a review on the third is to follow soon.

Еще одно пополнение среди лаков Dance Legend - коллекция Mist Way, состоящей из лаков-желе, в которые добавлены полупрозрачные золотистые хлопья слюды. В этом после я покажу два представителя коллекции, а обзор на третьего последует вскоре.

Dance Legend Be Mine is a soft lavender jelly, while Morning Dew is a brighter blue-leaning turquoise. It makes no difference, whether you use an aqua base coat (in my case, Dance Legend AQUAGenetic) or a regular one (I used Anny base coat), both of them required 3 coats to become opaque, although application was slightly better on the nails I applied aqua basecoat on. Dry time was average for these, and my dog was begging for a walk, so I sped up things by finishing them with a coat of Seche Vite. Removal was easy, although I did find it necessary to wash my hands thoroughly to get rid of occasional flecks stuck to the nail surface or skin surrounding nails.

Dance Legend Be Mine - это пастельное лавандовое желе, Morning Dew же - уходящее в голбой бирююзовое поярче. Используете ли вы под них аквабазу или нет, в данном случае особого рояля не играет, я специально на часть ногтей нанесла Dance Legend AQUAGenetic, а на часть - обыкновенную базу Anny, и в любом случае потребовалось 3 слоя каждого лака, чтобы перекрыть свободный край и добиться однородности цвета, хотя на аквабазе нанесение чуточку получше. Сохнут эти товарищи средне, а мой пес уже просился на улицу, так что для ускорения процесса я нанесла слой сушки Seche Vite. Снимаются и Be Mine, И Morning Dew легко, хотя я тщательно вымыла руки после удаления лака, чтобы избавиться от нескольких прилипших к коже и поверхности ногтя частичек слюды.  

I really like how great different colors from this collection work together, golden flakes playing the part of a uniting piece. They also add a little something to the polishes, while letting the color take the lead.

Мне очень нравится, как разные цвета из этой коллекции сочетаются вместе. Слюда, мне кажется, хорошо играет роль соединяющего элемента, кроме того, сама по себе она добавляет лакам изюминку, не забивая цвет и предоставляя ему право первой скрипки.

Glitter Bunny Polish Rainbows On Crack swatches & review

I'm taking advantage of my laptop appearing to work for me today and scheduling a couple of posts in case technical issues get worse, so if I see I've blogged but I'm not answering, I probably can't.

Here's some information about Glitter Bunny Polish from their website: "GlitterBunny Polish is an indie nail polish brand based in Israel. The shades are unique, handmade, 5 free, vegan and absolutely cruelty free". I prsonally adore that label, it's that bunny just too cute for words?! Anyway, I have a number of polishes by them to review, and here's the first one, Rainbows On Crack.

I was really lucky the day I put it on, because the sun decided to come out and play, which is a rare event these days in Moscow. I miss the summer so damn much, and this autumn has been quite hard on me, to be honest. Well, this isn't a personal blog, and you're not here for my problems, but for my nails, so I'm not going into details and showing you some prettiness instead. 
Мне очень повезло в день, когда я нанесла этот лак, поскольку солнышко решило порадовать нас своим присутствием и выглянуло из-за туч, а это теперь в Москве редкое явление. Я очень скучаю по лету, а осень эта проходит для меня достаточно тяжело, честно говоря. Ну как бы то ни было, это не персональный блог, и мы здесь не мои проблемы обсуждать собрались, а ногти смотреть, так что, не вдаваясь в детали, лучше буду показывать вам красоту.  

Glitter Bunny Polish Rainbows On Crack is a lavender linear holo. The holo effect might not be as strong as, for example, in the reknowed Color Club holographics, still it's quite prominent. Remember that apparently no camera is able to pick up all the holo a polish emits, so please keep in mind the effect is stronger in person. In the shadow it's a pretty shimmer that I bet would also look great mattified (in the Cartice How I Matt You Mother vein). I love the textured feel of it as well as the rainbow goodness of the varnish when under stronger light, like sunlight or electrical. Formula was smooth as butter, photos show 2 easy coats on a regular basecoat with a coat of fast-dry topcoat because I'm impatient and I can't sit still, so I would have messed up my mani if I didn't us it. Mind that the topcoat almost didn't eat the holo at all, only the tiniest bit, which I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't compared the polish with and without topcoat on purpose.
Glitter Bunny Polish Rainbows On Crack - это линейный голографик лавондового цвета. Голография не такая сильная, как, например, в известных лаках Color Club, но все равно довольно яркая. Помните, что, похоже, ни одна камера не может полностью передать этот эффект на фото, так что прошу иметь в виду, что в жизни он сильнее. В тени же это шиммер, который, я уверена, также прекрасно бы выглядел под матовым топом (в духе Catrice How I Matt Your Mother). Мне очень нравится "текстурное" ощущение от покрытия, ну и, естественно, радугу на ногтях, появляющуюся, когда на них попадает яркий свет, солнечный или электрический. Формула лака идеальна, на фото 2 беспроблемных слоя на обычной базе со слоем топа-сушки, без которого мне нельзя, потому что мне на месте не сидится, и иначе я бы маникюр испортила, не успев отсвотчить. Топ голографию, можно сказать, не съел, я бы этого точно не заметила, если бы специально не сравнила лак под топом и без него на руке.

Colorist swatch spam! part 2

Today I'm sharing more swatches of Colorist nail polish with you. This part also finishes the series of mini bottles I've received for review, next swatches are of fullsize lacquers (15ml). These, on the contrary, hold 9ml each. Follow this link to see all Colorists featured on the blog. 

Сегодня я приготовила для вас новые свотчи лаков Colorist. Эта часть свотч-спама также заканчивает серию свотчей мини-лаков этой фирмы (в каждой бутыльке по 9мл). I've found the formula of these pretty even and consistent, even with lighter shades, which are notorious for streaking, pooling and patchy application. This wasn't the case. All swatches are 2 coats sans base- or topcoat, unless otherwise stated. 

Формула у всех лаков, представленных здесь, легка в обращении, лаки не склонны течь, куда не надо, оставлять за собой полосы или плеши, даже светлые оттенки, которые пользуются такой дурной славой. Если не указано иное, на всех фото лаки в 2 слоя без базы и топа.

The Lazy 15! Feminine Nails

This is the second post for today, and it features feminine nails. I had a hard time with this theme, since painting nails itself is usually considered feminine, so, basically, it was an open theme. In the end, I went for soft colors and a simple pattern. I'm really enjoying stamping - fast, easy, and the result is gorgeous as long as your polish is opaque enough!

Вот и второй пост за сегодня, и тема его - женственные ногти. Немного странно, на самом деле, поскольку в принципе накрашенные ногти ассоциируются с женственностью. Получилась открытая тема, твори, что хочешь. В итоге я выбрала мягкие цвета и лаконичный узор. Мне очень нравится стемпинг - быстро, легко, а результат всегда замечательный, если вы используете достаточно пигментированный лак.

The base color for this manicure is A-england Guinevre, a dusty lavender creme completely opaque in 2 thin coats, although you can do a thicker one coat and you'll be well off with it. It dries quite fast and shines just fine on its own, but I still used a coat of INM OTD to make it dry even faster (I was impatient to stamp on it!) plus preserve the base color, in case i messed up the stamping. Then I stamped with Gabrini 322 (swatched here), a great silver foil, and finished the manicure with another coat of INM OTD.

Базой для этого маникюра послужила прекрасная A-england Guinevre. Это чудесный пыльный лавандовый крем, полностью непрозрачен в 2 тонкий слоя или один толстенький. Сохнет сам по себе быстро, имеет крутой глянец, но я все равно покрыла сверху слоем INM OTD, чтобы он высох еще быстрее (конадить быстрее хотелось! :)) и чтобы, если что, можно было стереть кривой конад и не повредить цвет (весьма предусмотрительно, надо сказать, 2 ногтя пришлось переделывать). Затем я стемпила Gabrini 322, это серебряная фольга, которую я уже показывала здесь (пост без перевода), и закрепила все еще одним слоем INM OTD. 

A close friend of mine's celebrating her birthday tonight, and I'm going to pair these nails with a black lace dress from Zara...I hope they'll mix together.

Сегодня моя близкая подруга празднует день рождения, надеюсь, что с тем черным кружевным платьем, которое я собираюсь одеть, этот маникюр сыграет.
