Fridails: Flowers

I'm so very late with my Fridails post, but at last here it is! I did post on Instagram on time though :D 

Я хорошо припозднилась со своим постом для Fridails, но, наконец, руки дошли. Ну хоть в Инстаграм я запостила вовремя :)

So our theme last Friday was Flowers, which I decided to use as an excuse to do another inspired by... manicure :D So as a base color I used 1 coat of Hare Polish King Of Carat Flowers on top of 2 coats of Essence Got A Secret, and painted on one stroke petals, inspired by Lucy's Stash one stroke flower manicures, using acrylic paint and a small flat brush. These didn't turn out as weel as they looked in my head, but for a first try at one stroke nail art I reckon I did fine. 

Темой прошедших Fridails были цветы, что я использовала как предлог для еще одного маникюра из серии "по мотивам". В качестве базового цвета я использовала слой Hare Polish King Of Carat Flowers поверх 2 слоев Essence Got A Secret, а затем акриловой краской и маленькой плоской кистью нарисовала цветочные лепестки в технике one stroke - одним движением (эта техника, например, используется еще при росписи гжель), вдохновившись чудесными маникюрами Lucy's Stash. Получилось не совсем так, как я себе это представляла, но для первого раза, считаю, неплохо.

31 days challenge. Day 4: green nails

Hi everyone!

This and tomorrow's post are scheduled ones as i'm going to be out of town for a couple of days. I'm using some of my backup here, which, i realise, is not quite fair, but i've got 20+ freshmen to mentor this week-end! And i was one of them only last year...ah, time flies.

Anyway, really didn't like the way these nails looked in real life, they actually seem prettier on photos, but that's my opinion. Maybe the weather wasn't right or the color combination not entirely appropriate for September..When i decided to go for a green and gold combo i was picturing leaves turning yellow on the background of their green brothers and sisters, but it came out looking like New Yeaк to me x) Or, maybe, that's my silly mind.

This manicure features 1 coat of basecoat, 2 coats of Essence A Walk In The Park (a medium forest green creme) plus a coat of Essie As Gold As It Gets (gold flecks) topped with 1 coat of INM OTD.

Malta haul or nail polish in Malta!

Hi everyone, here i am back from Malta!

Before leaving i raped Google, and the only thing it would tell me is that i would't have any nail polish shopping there. 'Okay', i thought, 'then i'll just order nail polish online when i'm back'. I'll still order it, i'm in love with the new Zoyas and OPIs, and i'll be sure to pick up a couple of Essies, as well. However, i did bring some nail polish with me from that paradise on Earth :)

Where to find nail polish:
1. Franks and other beauty shops chains
2. Pharmacies, both chain and individual. Those sometimes carry real jems!
3. Anywhere. I bought my Beauty UK, Gabrini and Essence ones at a shop in Valetta called Pushka that actually carries clothes, not cosmetics (still, they had those displays, and i couldn't miss the opportunity :D)
All in all i'm very satisfied with my purchase. I really didn't expect to buy any, and i returned with FANTASY FIRE (yes, i have to capslock :D)

Oh, also i picked up my nail mail - 3 OPI Suedes & Mermaid's Tears! I'm almost in nail polish nirvana :D
