Hey everyone!
I know I'm a bit late for the Polish Days of February, but we're still allowed to submit our manis even 2 days after the deadline, and I'm taking advantage of that this time :3 I'm extremely sorry for my current nail shape, but they were breaking like crazy when I was in Finland, which resulted into those uneven nubs (since my nail beds are of different length, my nubs are like that, too).
As the theme of Polish Days February was Back To Nature, I drew inspiration from a natural phenomenon I wanted to see badly in Finland, but didn't get to, because, apparently, there were no magnet storms going on at the time. I'm talking about Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights. To recreate the look of it on my nails, I started with 2 coats of a dark blue cream base (China Glaze Calypso Blue) and water marbled with Orly It's Not Rocket Science, Orly Galaxy Girl and Revlon Grape Fizz (that actually smells like the grape chewing gum I love).
Orly It's Not Rocket Science, Orly Galaxy Girl

Thanks! Sun in Moscow in the middle of February...yeah, i'd like that a lot)) I'm not jazzed by the lighting but it was alredy dark outside when i finally got a minute to take photos, so i had to go with artificial light, and not the brightest one :c
ReplyDeleteThanks a ton, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeletethank you, Lani! I bet you'd love the way northern lights look irl (have you ever seen them in person?), my memories kind of dulled over time (I saw an aurora borealis when i was 4, and it was in the same place i've just come back from), but i remember it was incredible!

Yes, about 10 years ago. It was green, and I was very excited, although it was just a little northern light on a small part of the sky, probably because I was too far south.
